From home help to daylight robbery

Got a phone call the other day asking if I could change seven locks on one house, I assumed that they had just moved in and wanted new locks fitted throughout the house. However when I arrived it turned out the house was occupied by an elderly couple and their 'home help' had stolen the keys and some belongings from the house just goes to show that some people have absolutely no conscience and would probably steal from their own grandma. From caravans to en-suites

Went to see a customer today who had lost the keys to the lock on the tow hitch of their caravan. The makers of the lock had very nicely described how to drill part of the lock in order to remove it, makes you wonder doesn't it? I had been called as time was an issue and so far it had not worked. Getting the lock off didn't take too long but should firms manufacturing security products really tell people how to defeat them? Garage door not opening.

Locksmiths are called on to work on all sorts of different doors. Had a job this week where a garage door wouldn't open. The key would turn in the lock but didn't unlock the handle to allow the door to be opened. Part of the mechanism inside the handle had snapped which was why it was not working. After I had fitted a replacement handle I checked the locking mechanise was working with the door open then went to close the door. Window locks - do you need them?

Went to a job a couple where the customer had wanted locks fitted to their windows. They had called a locksmith as they were unsure which lock would be most suitable. After a discussion about the options available they decided to swap the window handles for locking handles. The reason they had called was because they had just moved in and their insurance policy stipulated that all windows must have key operated locks fitted.
