Went to a customers house today to change a mortice lock as they sad it was getting difficult to turn the key sometimes. The lock looked like it had been on the door for a few decades, so it had definitely been good value for money. However it was a 3 lever lock and in the event of a burglary the insurance company may have refused to pay out as the lock did not meet the relevant standards. Please check what locks are fitted to your door - don't assume that it meets the required standard just because it is relatively new.
